Lockit-safe was appointed by Alexander James to deliver secure cycle parking on behalf of Haringey Council, as part of the ongoing renovation of multiple housing estates in North London.

The project involves the supply and installation of 13 BikeNests, exclusively available for estate residents to book. Each unit offers secure, lockable storage for up to 6 bikes, directly outside residential entrances—making cycling safer and more accessible for local communities.

OVERCOMING CHALLENGES

Many of the estates presented significant access restrictions, with narrow walkways and no vehicle access to the final installation points. To resolve this, Lockit-safe delivered flat-packed BikeNest units and assembled them on site—a solution used for 9 of the 13 installations.

Despite these logistical constraints, Phase 1 (4 units) was completed efficiently, with the remaining 9 units scheduled for installation next year.
