Creating 64 cycle parking spaces for Hemel Hempstead station using two-tier cycle shelters
Lockit-safe were appointed by London Midland Rail to create additional cycle parking for passengers on the station concourse.
THE SOLUTION
With space at a premium, a two tier cycle shelter system was used with two cycle shelters used back to back containing two tier bike racks. This solution provided 64 cycle parking spaces whilst taking a minimal amount of space from the front of the station entrance.
Lockit-safe, designed, manufacturerd and installed the two tier bike shelters including some comprehensive groundworks which were needed to level ground conditions prior to installation.
