Connecting school buildings with an 80m walkway
Linden Bridge Special School commissioned Lockit-Safe to design, fabricate and install an 80m walkway connecting four of the school buildings.
The classrooms, swimming pool and library were all in separate buildings which made moving between then difficult for pupils in bad weather.
THE SOLUTION
The twin walled tinted roof provided shade and sun protection and the frame was powder-coated galvanised steel .
Post protectors were included in open areas providing additional safety for pupils.
The installation was carried out in one week of half term and included re-routing one of the internal access gates to allow for a new pedestrian route.
