Lockit-safe worked with Perth and Kinross Council to deliver secure cycle parking infrastructure across 15 sites, including schools, community centres, public car parks, and high streets. The project added 130 new cycle parking spaces, using a mix of BikeNests, shelters, and secure compounds, all designed to promote active travel across the region.

This installation follows a 15-year relationship with the council, during which Lockit-safe has delivered more than 1,500 cycle and scooter parking spaces.

OVERCOMING CHALLENGES

The rollout covered both educational and public environments, each with its own complexities. Most school installations took place during term time, requiring work to be scheduled around playground access and safeguarding.

In public locations, including busy high streets and car parks, all installations were fenced off for safety and completed with strict delivery windows to minimise disruption.

Despite the varied and sensitive settings, the project was delivered in full within 7 weeks.
