Phase 6 of our project with South Eastern Trains focused on providing parking facilities for approximately 700 cycles across 7 of their stations southeast of London. On top of our experience working in a busy environment of a live train station, each new location had challenges for our team to overcome.
Lockit-safe carefully designed an installation plan allowing for a flexible approach to installation whilst ensuring practicality and maximising the usage of the new cycle parking facilities taking into account individual challenges at each station.
As these were new installations, each station required complete groundworks, security lighting, CCTV, pump & repair stands, along with full access control systems installed. Lockit-safe installed a selection of cycle stands, two-tier bike racks, large cycle storage hubs and spaces for cargo bike parking. An additional steel security mesh was installed on each cycle storage hub to maximise the safety of each bike.
