New E-Bike Battery Charging Lockers Installed at University of Sheffield
Lockit-safe has launched a brand-new product to support the growing use of electric bikes, with the first E-Bike Battery Charging Lockers now installed at the University of Sheffield.
This innovative solution is designed to offer secure, easy-to-use charging facilities for e-bike users in public and semi-public spaces. Each locker unit contains four separate compartments, making it ideal for busy, high-traffic environments such as railway stations, shopping centres, universities, hospitals, local authority buildings, and more.

HOW IT WORKS

User is given access using the key provided for their assigned compartment

They unlock the unit and place their battery (or e-bike) inside

Plug the battery charger into the internal socket

Press the button next to the plug socket – an indicator light shows that the socket is live and charging

Units are currently configured to allow charging for a maximum of 6 hours (adjustable if needed)
